Shikaadabu Secondary School is a public school located in Likon, Mombasa. The School was started in 2007 with the first candidates sitting for KCSE in 2010. In the past six years the school has grown from a two-streamed to six-streamed school with some classes having seven streams (Form 1 and 2). The school has 41 trained teachers, 16 are employed under the BOM terms while 25 are employed by the government. Beside academic activities, the students are actively engaged in other co-curricular activities such as athletics, music festivals etc. In 2023 the school emerged position three in the national music festivals that was held in Nyeri. The school works towards producing all-round students who will be able fit in the ever changing world.
Angaza Center Partnership
The collaboration between Shikaadabu Secondary School and the Angaza Center has resulted in the establishment of an Information Communication Technology (ICT) resource center. This initiative is designed to boost digital literacy among students, equipping them with crucial digital skills that are essential for both academic achievement and future career prospects. Through this partnership, Shikaadabu Secondary School is dedicated to preparing its students for the challenges and opportunities of a technology-centric world, thus narrowing the digital divide and enhancing the overall quality of education.
