Miruriiri Girl’s Secondary School is a public boarding school exclusively for girls, supported by the Catholic Church. The school is situated in Kianjogu, lgoji East ward, Igoji sub-county, Meru County. Located about 1 kilometer westward from the Chuka-Nkubu highway, the school is opposite Miruriiri’s Boys School.
Prior to the school’s registration as a girls’ single stream school in 2008, Miruiiri was a mixed secondary school. In April 2020, the school was re-registered as a double stream with a current enrollment of over 300 girls.
Angaza Center Partnership
Angaza Center has partnered with Mirruiri Girls Secondary School to provide digital literacy for their students. The information technology program has seen the teaching stagg undergo a capacity building program in advanced technology skills. The school has since launched a fully equipped technology lab with over 35 devices, internet connectivity, and online learning capabilities. The school has been apart of Angaza Center’s peer to peer training program where Miruriiri’s students have been receiving online instruction from Adlai E. Stevenson High school, located in Lincolnshire, Illinois.
