Mapimo Girls Secondary School is a public Girls Day/Boarding school . The School is situated about 30 km to the North of Malindi off the Malindi – Lamu road at the Gongoni junction. The school was established in the year 2006 by CDF. It started as a mixed secondary school with a population of 16 students. The school occupies a total of 41 acres of land operating under the management of the Board of Management. Mapimo girls’ secondary school student population has been growing steadily from 16 to the current enrolment of 460. The school is now three streams in form one and two, two streams in form 3 & 4 with nine permanent classrooms, 1 twin science laboratory and one computer lab.

The partnership between Mapimo Girls Secondary School and the Angaza Center has resulted in the establishment of an Information Communication Technology (ICT) resource center, enhancing digital literacy among students. This center equips students with essential digital skills, preparing them for academic and professional success. The collaboration aims to bridge the digital divide, providing students with the necessary tools and opportunities to excel in a technology-driven world.
