Joyce is a student at UC Berkeley, where she is pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering within the College of Chemistry. Beyond her academic pursuits, she is a passionate advocate for community service and has found joy in performing ensemble pieces for residents at nursing homes.

Joyce’s commitment to creating a positive impact extends to the realm of sustainable energy. She is deeply involved in research related to renewable resources, with a specific focus on producing biofuel from converted cooking oils and algae.

In early 2023, Joyce took on a significant role as one of the five students responsible for successfully designing and implementing a digital literacy education curriculum. As a student ambassador for Angaza Center, she is currently leading efforts to establish an Angaza chapter at her university. Through this platform, Joyce aims to raise awareness and promote technology literacy among her peers, fostering greater student involvement in the sharing of knowledge and technological empowerment. 

Her multifaceted commitment to community service, sustainable energy, and education makes her an invaluable member of the Angaza Center’s Student Council.
